Peniel Church in Norwich will host a showing of “Esperanza,” a short film based on the true story of a woman who helped inspire a historic gospel festival in Barcelona in 2012. While her name means hope, that hope was tested from the beginning of her life as her father tried to kill her when she was in the womb by throwing her mother down the stairs. As an infant, she was sold to a Bedouin tribe. But today she inspires church leaders across Barcelona to put their faith in God.
This film will be shown at 6 p.m. on March 27th at 134 Boswell Avenue. Admission is free and will feature special music along with the film. A freewill offering to support the festival will be held following the presentation. To RSVP and for more information, call Adam Bowles at (860) 861-4246 or visit www.penielchurchnorwich.org
