Revival Meeting in Norwalk, May 2

In conjunction with the 150th Anniversary of Community Baptist Church and historic South Norwalk Baptist Church all are invited to a special revival meeting on May 2, with Guest Speaker Dr. Clay Ford and a combined choir from several Norwalk Churches. The CBC Praise Team will also be ministering.

Location: Community Baptist Church, 105 East Avenue, Norwalk CT 06851.

Dr. Clay Ford grew up in Virginia and West Virginia and is a graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina. He experienced a dramatic conversion to Jesus Christ during his senior year of college and was called into ministry four months later. He received the M Div degree from the American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley and Covina, CA and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (now Palmer Theological Seminary). He has served in a variety of ministries including senior pastor in four Baptist churches and as street missionary in Berkeley, CA. (Clay’s book, Berkeley Journal, was published by Harper and Row when he was a seminary student.)

Most recently Clay successfully concluded his ministry as Transitional Pastor at First Baptist Church of Chula Vista, where the church is thriving with their new pastor. Clay also works part time as the National Chair of Holy Spirit Renewal Ministries (hsrm.org), a national ministry dedicated to bringing about the spiritual revitalization of churches and Christian organizations, particularly in Transformational Ministries and American Baptists, but also in the wider body of Christ.

Clay is a sought-after speaker; he has been a keynote speaker and workshop leader for numerous events, including World Missions Conferences, worship conferences, spiritual refreshment conferences, pastor/spouse retreats, church renewal weekends, evangelism and apologetics seminars, victory in Christ seminars, university forums and debates, and regional Promise Keeper events.

Clay and Cheri Ford have been married for over thirty years and have two grown children and four grandchildren. Their son Billy is a Transformation Ministries Senior Pastor at Bouquet Canyon Church (bouquetcanyonchurch.com) in Santa Clarita, CA. Their daughter Hannah (hannahford.com) is in full time ministry as a singer, song-writer, and worship leader. Her new CD is called “Fervency”, and it is blessing thousands of people in the US and abroad. Cheri (cherylford.com) is the author of five books and also speaks at women’s retreats and other events. She, Hannah, and Clay often team up in ministry events.
